To the Left - you will find the latest entries - the workshop stuff is unfinished/in progress. These “songs” are usually without words and generally, well, unfinished sounding. I write the words last because that is the work of it. I don’t waste my time if there’s still a chance it won’t stick. Lots of stuff falls to the wayside. You can collect it and follow my progress.
I am Frank. I am from Ann Arbor. I had a really great band called Frank Allison and the Odd Sox. We always had fun and went everywhere to go nowhere. For 12 years we ruled many of the bars we played, but were naive, inept and unkept. We spun our glorious wheels until I lost my singing voice to spasmodic dysphonia. I took 7 years off and started a family. I listened to tons of music, but unless you count drumming on the steering wheel, I played not an instrument the entire time. A few years ago, my daughter wanted to learn music, so I bought her a uke. I figured its small size and the fact it had only 4 soft nylon strings would make it easier to learn. In the end, I taught her little, and eventually stole her uke. I played for fun and made up a daily tune that I would enjoy for an hour or so, and kiss goodbye. Soon I was grunting, ooing, hooting and whistling, doing whatever I could to convey melodies. My vocabulary grew. I basically overcame the spasm by forgetting the past and starting from scratch.I started this blog in april 2007. All the original entries are here. They document the tail end of the Log Rhythms of Love project through the complete production of World is Out the Window, and we have some way cool stuff planned for the near future.

How can you fly without annoying the god of thunder
How can you float in an iron boat and not go under
Man alive, how can you drive along and see no blunder
What is the sense of fencing out your hope and wonder
What is the dream in mother nature blown asunder
Why would you scheme to take the world she nurtures from her
How can the drive thru survive by making mac rotunder
How can you undo what’s been undone and grown undoner
How can it be that a tree who breathes is only lumber
How do you rate if your dating for a chest to plunder
Love is to hope til every dopey head’s undundered
The mother of nature that used to inspire awe and wonder
Has taken a face full of fart by art I think we stunned her
Now that it’s no longer on the news stands, here’s Chris Berggren’s cool, big story in in the A2 Observer.
Olive was horrified. They wanted a picture of me and her spooning sweet at the top of the story - we waited a while, set her up, and then took her by surprise. The observer was pleased…

Many of you have been trying to buy Log Rhythms of Love at iTunes without success. This is because Log Rhythms was temporarily taken down from iTunes by accident. This error has been corrected.
Avoid Dazy’s future ineptness. Go to iTunes and buy it now, while you still can!
